Everyday I Write the Book
I'm writing again. Finally. It seems like May swallowed up any spare time I had, and June wasn't off to a great start, either. A few days into the month, though, I made a commitment to myself that I would write every day, even if it's just a few lines.
The month is almost at its end, but I'm writing every day.
I'm back at Cloud 9, I'm back on the river, I'm lost in the sad world of my newest characters. Whether it's revisions or new material, I'm happiest when I'm writing.
Everyday I write the book.

I love that song, and I love your writing. I want you to remember that day at Compass when one of the mentors heard you read a poem and responded, "Wow. You're going to make it." I forget her name, but I remember her face. And it's true. You're going to make it.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kate. I can't tell you how much it means to hear you say that. Are you up for reading something that's in the works?
