A Break - For My Kids
Today my heart breaks for everyone in any way affected by the terrible tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut.
My children are nine and five. I will be leaving work soon so that I can pick them up and hold them close and tell them how much I love them. Somehow I will find a way to explain, to try to ease their fears.
Before I heard this news, I had decided to take a small break from the blog in anticipation of the Christmas and New Years holidays. Now that break is even more important for me. Even though I typically blog after my children have gone to bed, I want to do everything I possibly can to make this Christmas special and memorable for them, for many reasons.
I wish you peace and many blessings and much, much love during this holiday season. See you in the new year.
