Introducing Stubby Pencil Critique & Editing Services

Today I'm excited to introduce my latest project: Stubby Pencil Critique & Editing Services.

***

You've poured your heart and soul into your manuscript.

You've plotted, drafted, revised, and revised again. You've read your manuscript over so many times, you're beginning to doubt your ability to properly construct a sentence - or correctly spell words like doubt or construct. You just can't even look at that document one more time.

You know what I'm talking about.

It's time for some fresh eyes.

STUBBY PENCIL CRITIQUE & EDITING SERVICES

I can help at any stage in your manuscript's life cycle. Whether you're just starting out as writer, have an agent waiting for a revised manuscript, or are about to self-publish, I tailor each project to meet your editorial needs -- from basic proofreading to a First30 (critique of the all-important first 30 pages) to a full-manuscript critique with line edits.

At this time, my main focus is teen and new adult fiction, although I will consider literary fiction,  short fiction, and other projects.

Please contact me for rates and to discuss the scope of your project.

THE STORY OF THE STUBBY PENCIL

My dad Ted was a great guy. He was always ready with a joke or a kind word or a stubby pencil -- because you never know when you might need to mark a measurement or write something down. The stubby pencil fit in his pocket with his loose change and his church key and he always -- always -- had at least one with him.

But the pencil wasn't only for his own use. He offered it to anyone who needed a writing utensil. He became known for having that stubby pencil. His friends and family knew they could count on him -- when they needed a pencil or any help at all.

I can be that guy for you.

Writers need support. Even though the act of writing itself is a (mostly) solitary pursuit, at some point you have to release your work out into the world.

When you've worn down your own supply of pencils, I'll be ready with mine.

Stubby Pencil Critique & Editing Services: Sharp. Accurate. Reliable.
