My overall goals for the summer were to finally finish those pesky revisions on KEYS, to take steps to improve my health, and to spend a lot of time with my kids.
How did I do?
I did not finish my revisions.So... halfsies? Oh, and I read a TON of books. Check back tomorrow for a recap.
I did take some steps to improve my health, but not to the extent that I should have done.
I did spend a lot of time with my kids.
This summer was a blur and several unexpected life roadblocks detoured me a bit, mainly work-related. The good news is that some very positive changes have occurred and I'm very motivated to finish KEYS by the end of September.
Other good news? School starts in one week, thank the stars and heavens above. This family needs a routine.
How was your summer? Did you meet your goals?
I'd also set out to finish a revision round and didn't make it, but I'm happy with the progress I did make. Summer is just such a tough time to be productive! I'm glad to hear there have been some positive changes in your life and you're feeling motivated. Good luck finishing up in September!
ReplyDeleteI think you still made progress, which is always a reason to celebrate! And writing, being healthy, reading, and kidlet time are some of the best goals. I'm happy to report I did meet my one goal I'd set for myself, though it was by the skin of my teeth. Which is kind of gross when you think about it... =D
ReplyDeleteIt's great to spend lots of time with the kids. I skipped revising some days so I could take the kids to the beach or do other things with them and I don't feel bad about that. Good luck on finishing your revisions by the end of September!
ReplyDeleteMy family needs a routine too. :) Also, it sounds like you had a GREAT summer with the kiddos. AND you're motivated to finish revisions. I'd consider that a WIN.
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining us again, Sara! I think we should look at doing a recharge again in February. :)
