The Remains of the Danish
Well, here goes nothing. Or something, actually.
I've decided that it's time to lose the baby weight. Yay for me, except for the fact that the baby will be five in a couple of weeks.
I've jumped in and joined Change Write Now, a group of writerly types who are making positive changes in 2012, hosted by Corrine Jackson, Sarah Nicolas, and Gina Rosati. The second round starts on March 11 and registration is open through the 9th.
How it works -- you're placed on a team and you earn points for the following:

- Eating Healthy (my brother has recently been coaching me on this topic. I Heart Carbs)
- Exercising for at least 20 minutes (we joined a gym at the end of January)
- Sleeping at least 6 hours
- Consuming 64 oz of Water
- Checking in with your teammates
- Adopting One Good Habit
- Tossing Out One Bad Habit

ReplyDeleteYay! I'm excited that you signed up too :D I'm actually pretty pumped about the whole thing now that I decided to commit to it. Just the kind of accountability I need. We can swear off danishes/donuts/pizza together (or at least relegate it to very rare treat status).

ReplyDeleteAnd sleeping makes more of a difference than you ever dreamed! (no pun intended) I finally started sleeping enough in college, and I feel like a whole new person. (There are other factors involved in that, but I believe sleep is a big one.)
