North Shore Writers Retreat

If you're a regular reader of my blog, you know how much I love the North Shore of Lake Superior. I've been to many places in this beautiful world of ours, and still, there's something about this stretch of shoreline from Duluth to Grand Marais that calls to me, that centers me, that calms me  even in stormy weather.

It's a place of great inspiration, a place for artists and poets and writers and dreamers. Wouldn't you like to spend a few days dreaming on the shore of this magnificent lake?

Join us for the 2014 North Shore Writers Retreat - Sunday, October 12 through Thursday, October 16! I've gathered a group of YA and MG writers - some from Minnesota, some not - to stay at a northwoods-themed lake home - modern conveniences and a rustic feel right on the shore. The best part? For 6-8 people, it's incredibly affordable.

I've put together a tentative itinerary for the week, which you'll find below. Because flights may be slightly less expensive with a Saturday night stay, we can offer our out-of-town retreaters complimentary accommodations on Saturday night.

The itinerary is a blend of personal writing blocks, time to explore the area, and time for camaraderie. I may put together some mini "workshops" to go along with our discussions if there's interest.
