Writer Recharge :: Dangerous Edition (Update 1)
Hello and welcome to my first Writer Recharge update!
The first week of Writer Recharge was AWESOME. I'm so grateful for everyone who has joined us for this fun month, many of whom participated in previous years as well!
It's not too late to join us - hop in anytime in February and link your blog post to my Monday posts. For details on how this works, click HERE.
How I did last week:
WRITE/REWRITE
I still had a bit more work to do on my revision of KEYS, so I wrapped that up, sent it to my agent, and re-wrote the synopsis. I got a pretty good start on IF YOU WERE HERE as well.
READ/REREAD
THE DISTANT HOURS - haven't started it yet because I got a terrific haul at the library.
STRETCH
I made my pedicure appointment for Friday, February 20 at 3:30 pm. I know the owner of the salon, so they'll take good care of me. (I'm still super anxious about it.)
SELF
Well... with my husband out of town and a busy calendar and finishing up KEYS, I kinda blew that one. This week is crazy, too, but I'm going to schedule in my walks.
CONNECT
Twitter writing parties - check! I also had a write-in on Saturday with my CP, Kari Marie White. That was fun and rejuvenating as always. And it involved lots of delicious coffee... and yogurt with blueberries, all you Gansey fans.
FUN
I purchased THE DUFF and plan to read it the weekend of Valentine's Day.
More fun - here's my Writer Recharge 2015 (Cigarette Daydreams) playlist. I love love love these songs and they inspired me during my final push to finish KEYS. The lyrics of "Dangerous" remind me of Wes:
I bet you didn't know that I was dangerous
It must be fate, I found a place for us
I bet you didn't know someone could love you this much
It must be fate, I found a place for us
I bet you didn't know someone could love you this much
Congrats on finishing off the revisions of KEYS! :) And yay for making your pedicure appointment! Hope you find some time for yourself this week and looking forward to the next Twitter party!
ReplyDeleteNow that you've mentioned the Gansey thing, I've started to think about him when I eat yogurt :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
Yay for booking your pedicure! I've had one in my life lol but it was pleasant. Congrats on sending Keys on its way :)
ReplyDeleteOoooh, nice playlist <3 I'm always looking for new writing tunes. Thanks for posting them!
ReplyDeleteOoh, I love those song lyrics. Congrats on all you accomplished with KEYS. I hope your agent loves it! It just so happens that I'll be getting a pedicure on the 20th too because that's my birthday and I always treat myself. :-) I hope you find it as blissfully relaxing as I surely will. Best of luck with your goals in the coming week, Sara!
ReplyDeleteGreat job finishing those revisions! :) Enjoy the pedicure!
ReplyDeleteGood job finishing up the KEYS revisions and synopsis! That must feel great. You know, I kind of wish I'd made "get a mani/pedi" my fun goal, because your pedi goal sounds great. Hope this is an awesome week!
ReplyDeleteCigarette Daydreams is my absolute FAVORITE Cage the Elephant song. Did you know they wrote that in 15 minutes? Awesome, awesome song. :) And I love THE DUFF - I hope you enjoy it and I hope you enjoy the movie! Looking forward to your thoughts on both.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with revisions this week!
Whoop! Good job finishing KEYS. Of course that means I need to read it. And I'm jealous of your write-in with Kari. Retreating needs to happen ASAP. :)
ReplyDeleteTHE DUFF is a pretty fun read. I'm excited to see the movie. I'm excited to get some more Twitter time in with you this week! And I love the write-in idea. I need to find some local writers.
ReplyDeleteI read THE DUFF a couple years ago and remember really liking it. I'll have to reread it before I go see the movie. And hopefully you end up enjoying your pedicure! I was also super anxious before my first one because of the idea of strangers touching my feet, but it was actually really nice once I was actually in the middle of it.
ReplyDeleteGreat job finishing your revisions!
Yay for finishing revisions! I'm looking forward to the THE DUFF movie, but I haven't read the book yet. Maybe I should follow your example. :)
