A Thank You, An Idea, and A Give~Away

The Thank You:  Thanks to all the Campaigners and others who stopped by and commented on my bit of flash fiction for the First Campaign Challenge.  I'm not much of a flash fiction writer and your comments gave me a boost.

Love the new cover!
The Idea:  Last week during the 11 Questions Tag, I read on someone's blog that  they had not yet read Stephen King's On Writing (I wish I could remember which blog) (update -- thanks to Elodie or commenting that it was her!).  I have to admit that I haven't, either.  I'd love to do some sort of Campaign Book Club ~ whoever is interested can read the book and answer a set of questions on a certain date, most likely after the campaign officially ends.  You're welcome to join in even if you're not participating in the campaign.

Leave a comment or tweet @sbiren if you're interested. I will post more details next Sunday.

The Give-Away: I'm close to the 100-follower mark.  If I can get to 100 followers by the end of the campaign, three will be randomly selected in a book give-away.  Once I hit 100, I will post all the details, including the books.

Thanks for reading and supporting this blog.  I'm so grateful for such a strong, encouraging writing community.

  1. I like your idea, Sara! I have not read "On Writing" yet but I have been wanting to...I talked about it on my blog last week, using a quote from Mister King but admitting to not have read THE book yet :D
It´d be nice to talk about it with fellow campaigners...

  3. This is a really great idea, Sara. I've had this book sitting on my shelf for a couple months now but still haven't gotten to it. I think I could get a lot from it, and it might kick my butt in gear if others were reading it at the same time. It's hard for me to curl up with a craft book when I'd so much rather get lost in something with kissing and adorable book boyfriends, you know what I mean:-) Great idea, and I'd love to hear more!

  5. On Writing is a good read and a lesson teacher. I haven't read it in a while, but maybe I'll dust it off and join all of you.
