YAB SWB Update:: Roll With It Edition

Last week was chaotic and busy and somewhat stressful, but I somehow accomplished quite a bit (except laundry and dishes and general housekeeping. But what's new?).

Week Two Accomplishments:
  • Read and critiqued two 30-page selections from my writers group. We had our meeting on Saturday.
  • Hit 40k on KEYS. The YAB Word Sprints definitely helped me achieve that goal! Way to go, Biren!
  • I got to interview my friend Ella Martin - whose debut novel WILL THE REAL PRINCE CHARMING PLEASE STAND UP? will be out soon - over at YA Buccaneers.
  • Took my lunch break every day.
  • Read a little bit each day. Continued to fuel my Edelstein obsession by listening to the Ruby Red trilogy on audiobook. I'm currently reading ASK AGAIN LATER by Liz Czukas.
  • Bonded with the awesome writers of #TeamDefiance. WE WON'T BACK DOWN.
  • Worked a bit more on the editing business.
  • Wrapped up some Cub Scouts stuff; still have a few things to do before I can totally pass the torch.

The Plan for Week Three:
  • Begin tax prep (yes, I procrastinate this every stinking year).
  • Get to 45k in KEYS.
  • Get in on at least two Twitter writing parties with #TeamDefiance.
  • Client edits.
  • Oh yes, I've got those back-to-back birthday parties this weekend. That means I've got a lot of cleaning and cooking and shopping to do.
  • See Divergent.
  • Get a haircut (first one in 13 months - yikes!).
That should keep me fairly busy! I hope you all had a productive week and good luck with your goals this week!

  2. I love that you're including your non-writing goals. I think I'll do that next week (when I, too, have a haircut!). Good luck this week. TEAM DEFIANCE! :)

I love how you put off cutting your hair for so long. I do the same thing :)

  5. I like how you've outlined your goals here, specific and everything. I don't think March is procrastinating taxes--the week before the deadline is procrastinating :)

  7. Haircuts & taxes. I hope they both leave you with money in your pocket and a smile on your face. (That's my stab at an Irish luck charm today, Sara. Oy!)

Really though, best of luck with all your goals this week. I'm in awe of you. I always am! :-)

  9. You had an awesome week despite being so busy. And hell no WE WON'T BACK DOWN! I need to remember to include some goals that have nothing to do with writing too. And you're reading the book formerly known as ASK AGAIN LATER? I'm so jealous!
