If you haven't seen This is Spinal Tap, please do.  Go now.

David St. Hubbins: We are Spinal Tap from the UK - you must be the USA!

I first saw this movie as a young feminist -- maybe 9th or 10th grade? -- and I walked out on it, appalled and insulted and offended.  Clearly I did not understand what greatness was before me.

Ian Faith: They're not gonna release the album... because they have decided that the cover is sexist.
Nigel Tufnel: Well, so what? What's wrong with bein' sexy? I mean there's no...
Ian Faith: Sex-IST!
David St. Hubbins: IST!

I can't even pinpoint a favorite part or a favorite song (although I find "Lick My Love Pump" quite amusing) because the whole thing is just so damn funny.  This "rockumentary" goes to 11.   So to choose a song that makes me laugh, I turn to Spinal Tap.  But which one?  "Gimme Some Money?" "(Listen to the) Flower People?"  "Stonehenge?"

David St. Hubbins: It's such a fine line between stupid, and uh...
Nigel Tufnel: Clever.
David St. Hubbins: Yeah, and clever.

I'm going to have to go with the classic "Tonight I'm Gonna Rock You Tonight."  And even better -- I found a Lego video of it.  I'm wiping tears from my eyes.

David, Smell the Glove is here.

I'm still a feminist, one with a sense of humor.
