30-Day Song Challenge Day 12: A Song From a Band You Hate
Oh, who came up with these?
I'm probably going to catch a lot of flack for saying this, but I hate Matchbox Twenty. It's true. Hate them. Can't stand them. When a Matchbox Twenty-- or Rob Thomas, for that matter -- song comes on the radio, I turn it IMMEDIATELY. Except for two. The two Matchbox Twenty songs that I love were the first two, the very best, and those two songs are the reason I hate them now.
In my humble opinion, no other song by Matchbox Twenty will ever meet the standards set by "Long Day" and "Push." Everything since has been a disappointment.
Reach down your hand in your pocket, pull out some hope for me, it's been a long day.
