A Big Day for Birdy
Birdy and I finished BETSY-TACY AND TIB the other night and I asked her to think about what she wanted to read next.
Last night, she made her decision.
I was just thinking that I wanted to read these again, as Toad and I finished the series in early January and I'm suffering without my HP. Reading these books together will take many wonderful years.
It was a big day for Birdy as we began the story of The Boy Who Lived.
I'm one happy mama!

Yeah, I can't wait until my girls are old enough to appreciate the wonderful magic of HP. :)
ReplyDeleteOh that is awesome! :) The magic of Harry Potter. I have to get my little cousins in on it! Although their mother is an editor I'm pretty sure the 9-year-old has already read the first at least...hmm.
ReplyDeleteAw, have fun rereading this with her.
ReplyDeleteThe hubby is just finishing up the Little House series with Magoo. They've decide to read it every Summer. I'm not sure what's next on the list for us.
ReplyDeleteAwww that picture is adorable :D And I love the fact that you and your kiddos have so much fun reading :D
ReplyDeleteNice! Hope you guys enjoy reading it together.
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I still remember when I had to talk my older daughter into reading them with me and after about the first chapter, she was hooked. Now I have to talk my younger daughter into it ... I don't know why they don't just trust their mother's judgement when it comes to books!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that you read with your kids -- and probably enjoy it as much as they do! I think there are more fun books available today than when I was a kid (a long time ago, lol).
ReplyDeleteThat is so sweet! When I have kids someday, we will definitely read those books together. :)
ReplyDeleteAwww! I don't have kids, but if I ever do, HP will be on the reading list for sure. Have fun with it! Time to pull out some silly British accents :)
ReplyDeleteI'm going to read The Hobbit with Girlkid before the first installment of the movie comes out. Right now, I've been waiting to get past the first couple weeks of school and the crazy that it brings. We haven't read the HP books. Mayhap we're due to give them a read as well.
