Gratitude Tuesday #8 - Perfect Weekend

It's Gratituesday....

Today I am grateful for a perfect weekend with my family. Here are ten fantastic things about it:

1.  An extra day - Toad was sick on Friday so I was able to work from home with him and watch the Disney Channel all day!
2.  The weather - sunny, warm (but not too hot), breezy.  Late summer perfection.
3.  Friends - spending Saturday with dear friends who recently moved an hour away.
4.  Comp tickets to the Minnesota Renaissance Festival - thanks, Holly!
5.  A day at the Renaissance Festival - my first in more than ten years.  I love it so much - I went often as a child,  in high school, and during college.  So many great memories.
6.  Everyone in my family LOVED it, too... and here are some of our favorite things:
7.  Lemon sorbet and Florentine ice - amazing.
8.  Mermaids!  Enchanted Forest!  Secret Garden!  Twig the Fairy!
9.  Toad rode an elephant.  By himself.  Without hesitation.  So proud of him!
10.  Happy, tired children who will never forget their first trip to the Renaissance Festival and are already talking about next year.

The house is a mess, I'm behind on the laundry, I didn't write a thing over the weekend, but none of that matters.

What's on your gratitude list today?

  1. That does sound like the perfect weekend, and I have to say I'm a little envious. :) My weekend turned out pretty good too. My hubby got to come see me for a couple of days after being away at work for about two weeks. He had to head back right away, but those two days were really great.

  5. Sounds really fun, including the Renaissance Fair. We have a good outdoor harvest market with live music near us that's open all fall.
